I grew up in Orange County. I went to law school here, built my practice here, and the families I work with are my neighbors. That context matters to me, and I think it shows in the work.

When I started my legal career, I had no intention of becoming an estate planning attorney. My goal was litigation. I had mentors I admired deeply, attorneys who were sharp, experienced, and accomplished, and I wanted to follow that path.

Then one of those mentors died unexpectedly.

He was a wildly successful attorney, and understood the law better than most. And yet his family spent years working through a long, expensive probate that cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars. On top of that, because he had no coordinated financial plan in place, his estate was forced to liquidate assets at the wrong time, under pressure, in ways that compounded an already painful situation. I watched people I cared about absorb losses that proper planning could have prevented.

That experience changed how I thought about the practice of law. I realized that the most consequential legal work often happens before anything goes wrong, not after. And I became convinced that an attorney who integrates legal planning with financial structure can produce a fundamentally better result for the families who trust them. That is what Gipe Law is built around.

How We Work

My approach is educational by design. Estate planning involves real decisions about your family, your assets, and what happens when you are no longer able to speak for yourself. I believe you should understand every part of your plan, not just sign documents and hope for the best.

Every plan at Gipe Law is designed, drafted, and explained by me directly. Not a paralegal, not a document preparation service. You will know what your plan does, why it is structured the way it is, and how it is intended to function when your family needs it.

I also coordinate your legal documents with your broader financial picture, including insurance, asset titling, and beneficiary designations. A trust that is not properly funded is not a plan. A plan that does not account for your financial structure can fail exactly when it matters most.
